Recently I’ve been introduced to a young Finnish shoe designer Saara Kivimäki and I’ve completely fallen in love with her shoes. Saara’s designs are often colourful & fun + always stylish & wearable. She uses a lot of contrasts in her designs, for example combining masculine form with feminine details.
Her themes for the S/S 2010 collection, came from horror films and for the clogs from country life. For this collection she also wanted to use a darker palette then she normally does.
These shoes are absolutely beautiful and I would proudly wear any of them. I’ll be looking forward to seeing more from Saara !
